I am pleased to say that Coldwell Banker Hearthside has expanded its contract with Realtor.com to provide each of the agents added from the merger with Coldwell Banker Diamond enhanced access to their listings FOR FREE until the contract expires in March, 2009. By using the enhanced package, agents can update photos and text on Realtor.com, can add open house listings and can create “scrolling banners” that make listings more appealing to consumers on the world’s #1 site for residential real estate.

To use the package, agents must go to http://www.realtor.com/, and find the “Resource Center” link on the left hand side under the “For REALTORS®” heading. Click that link, and when prompted, enter the following information:
1. Account Type = AGENT
2. MLS = TReND
3. MLS ID = your TREND id# (not how you log in, but your actual number. For example, mine is 6000226)
4. Password = your TREND id# again
5. Billing Code = optional

Once you click “sign in” it will ask you to approve the terms and conditions. Since you are on an existing contract just click accept.
At this point it may ask you for your NRDS number – if you know it great, if not you can skip it until later. Your NRDS number is the ID# you were assigned by NAR for their records.

Finally, you will be inside the control panel. If you have listings, you will see them there with statistics on how many times they have been viewed on Realtor.com (hopefully those numbers will be much higher than you imagined). To the left of those numbers you will see some options, including “enhance listings” and “account information”. Obviously the “enhance listings” option is the one you use to put new info on your listings (which I certainly encourage you to do) and the “account information” is where you put in (or confirm) your name, phone, email etc so that customers can contact you directly if they want additional information.

Again, this service is FREE to you until March, when Coldwell Banker Hearthside renegotiates its contract with Realtor.com – at that time you will be made aware of how you can keep using this enhanced service.
