We are currently in a very unique market and we all must stay ahead of the game.
Do you want to stay in Real Estate?
If so, you should be following these steps:
#1
Decide what you want
Do you call it "work"? Does your heart belong to real estate? If you answered yes, then no, it may not be for you. I want to have challenges. I want to have my mind reeling and feel energized. Do you feel that way about real etstate? Do you look forward to helping others?
Real estate should be your passion. It should supply happiness.
OK, so you've decided real etsate is your passion - then what are the next steps? What are the tools that can help? What do you need to stay in real estate?
#2
Concentrate
You need to plan. Don't focus on what you've done in the past. Things and times have changed. Focus on timely strategies that will actually build your business and increase your sphere.
Don't spend hours mindlessly surfing the internet. But, spend a couple of hours networking and blogging (with a purpose) several times a week to bring potential clients to your door. Decide what you want to be known for.
#3
Connect
Someone once said "It takes a village". Think about how true that is in real estate. Think of the number of people it takes to get the listing or sale and then to closing.
Reconnect with your sphere. It has to be a priority. Reach out to those around you. Regardless of the method (and there are many), let them know "I'm still in business". Place your name in front of past clients. The more you do, the more you will receive!
Reach out with purpose. Now is the time to let hem know what you've been doing. What have you sold, what do you have listed? If they've been in the house you sold them for the last several years, could be they are thinking of selling.
Your success in real estate depends, ultimately, on you. Have a plan, be realistic and focus your efforts. And don't forget to ask for help. I'll be glad to help you on your way.
